School Closure Friday March 2nd
01 Mar 2018
Good Evening
Thank you for your concerns about my fall this morning. I am fine thank you. My pride was hurt more than my body, but at least no one was watching. We have only once ever had to close the school before, so I know you will appreciate that this was not a decision taken lightly.
In my previous message I said I would review the situation at 7.00am tomorrow morning. Having looked at the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow , it is clear that there is a risk of significant snowfall and continuing freezing temperatures. In the interests of the safety of staff and children therefore, I have made the decision this evening for the school to remain closed tomorrow.
I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused, particularly for working parents, but I know you will appreciate that the situation is beyond my control. Hopefully this earlier communication will assist you in making childcare arrangements.
Kind Regards
Mr Morris
PS I will write to you on Monday to re-arrange our World Book Day celebrations.
