12 Nov 2015

On Wednesday 11th November, a squad of eight girls represented our school in the Havering 6 a side competition at the Goals Centre Romford. The competition was organised by the Havering Sports Collective.

There were 24 schools participating and although our team did not make it to the finals, we came third in our group, narrowly missing qualification by one point. Our results were as follows:

Ardleigh Green 0 v 0 Scotts
Ardleigh Green 1 v 2 Squirrels Heath
Ardleigh Green 2 v 1 Parklands
Ardleigh Green 3 v 0  Pyrgo
Ardleigh Green 0 v 2 Saint Patricks

Demi Marston goalkeeper and team captain, commented. "We really enjoyed playing in the competition and were disappointed not to make it to the finals. We were very pleased  to receive an award for giving every match 100% "*

* At all competitions organised by the Havering Sports Collective, presentatiuons are made to recognise the Olympic values of:

Well done girls you played very well in all your matches. We are very proud of you. Well done too for the way you all conducted the two minutes silence to mark Rememberance Day and for receiving the Passion Award.
