Visit from Watoto

13 Jun 2016

Watoto is a children's charity from Uganda in Africa. The charity provides homes and education for children orphaned as a result of poverty, war and aids. As a school we currently sponsor two Watoto children; Davis Lubwama and Fiona Mwolobi. This sponsorship has allowed them to live in a Watoto home, looked after by an adopted mother and to be educated at one of the Watoto schools.

To promote the work of this excellent charity, the Watoto Children's Choir perform concerts throughout the world to raise awareness of the plight of orphaned children. They have recently performed for Queen Elizabeth at Windor Castle and at the Scotish Military Tatoo.

On Thursday 16th June we are delighted to welcome the Watoto Choir to school. The choir will perform two concerts during the morning, one for the infants and one for the juniors and will visit the children in class during the afternoon.

At 7.00pm there will be a concert at All Saints Church. Free tickets are available from the School Office.
